GreenShield is NAV CANADA's confidential 24/7 Employee Family Assistance program (EFAP). This EFAP will provide accessible and personalized care across the health spectrum for unlimited sessions of counselling (under the framework of short-term counselling) for all NAV CANADA employees and their eligible dependants, as well as couples therapy.
GreenShield Health’s EFAP provides ongoing access to secure support from the counsellor who best suits your needs and experts who can help you reach your total well-being goals. Accessing support is simple and convenient. Therapy sessions are easily booked online and offered via video, phone, or in-person. In addition, you and your eligible dependants have access to Financial and Legal consultations, and Total Health & Life services, including consultations with registered nurses, dietitians, career coaches and more.
GreenShield Health’s EFAP is confidential, voluntary, and accessible at your convenience.

How to Register: Members & Family
Employees can access EFAP services without a referral by first signing up for an accountOpen a new window. It's best to do this from a desktop or laptop vs on a mobile device. Returning users can visit app.greenshieldplus.caOpen a new window to sign in to their account.
Eligible dependants can sign up for their own accounts without the employee being signed up. The accounts are independent of each other. For children under the age of medical consent in the province they reside, they still must have their own account created when registering. A parent who has decision-making authority regarding the child's care must be present at the first appointment, and from there, the best clinical approach will be determined with the therapist as to whether or not the parent will attend the sessions.
The steps for members to sign up are as follows:
- Navigate to app.greenshieldplus.caOpen a new window
- Select Sign up.
- Select Through an employer or organization, then select Continue.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and then select Continue.
- Select I have an Organization Code.
- Enter your NAV CANADA email address. Please note: Employees have two NAV CANADA email addresses on file. When registering or signing in, be sure to use your firstname.lastname@navcanada.ca email address. The alternate format (lastnamefirstinitial@navcanada.ca) will not work.
- Check your email. Enter the verification code that you received at the email you provided and select Continue.
- On the Organization Code screen, enter your Organization Code: navcanada and select Continue.
- Continue with the steps provided to complete the sign up process.
The steps for family members to sign up are as follows:
- Navigate to app.greenshieldplus.caOpen a new window
- Select Sign up.
- Select Through a family member, then select Continue.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and then select Continue.
- Enter your personal email address that you want to use for your account and select Continue.
- Enter the verification code that you received at the email address you provided and select Continue.
- On the ID Type page, select one I have an Organization Code. Then enter Organization Code: navcanada and select Continue.
- Continue with the steps provided to complete the sign up process.
- Once you've signed up, you can sign inOpen a new window to your account to access your profile and the services available.
